"2011 GZ King of Catering Awards Presentation" ,the well-known annual awards presentation in Guang Zhou, is organized by Guang Dong Catering Industry Association and Hong Kong King of Catering Organization. The presentation was held at Guang Zhou in 24 Sept 2011. Tao Heung Group was awarded as "King of Wedding Banquet" once again, and "King of Dim Sum". The Hong Kong Brand Development Council and the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong are the co-organizers of Hong Kong Top Brand Award, which presentation was held on 22 Sept 2011. The award result was generated by vote of consumers in The Great China. For Tao Heung Group, we are pleased to get "2011 Hong Kong Top Brand – Gold Award". We thank all the support from consumers and efforts from our staff. We will keep it up in order to achieve the motto of Tao Heung Group --- To be a popular Chinese restaurant group.
"The 9th Grand Cuisine cooking competition", which was organized by Hong Kong Metro Radio- MetroFinance FM104 and presented by Hong Kong Town Gas, was held in Chinese Cuisine Training Institute on 16 Aug 2011. Mr Mo Tim-lung, the chef of Joyous One, was on behalf of Tao Heung Group to cook "Egg White Bag Stuffed with sliced scallop and Assorted ingredients". Chung"s Cuisine of Tao Heung Group was awarded "Outstanding QTS Merchant Award-Bronze", which presented by Quality Tourism Services Associations. Our group is pleased to be recognized the outstanding contributions of accredited QTS merchants to building Hong Kong's image as a quality destination for visitors, and encourage merchants to continue delivering high quality performance.
After voting by public, Tai Cheong Bakery was awarded as Top 10, which presented by 《Gourmet》, this confirm the effort of teams of Tai Cheong Bakery and its historic taste, which represented Hong Kong and loved by Ex-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Hong Kong, Mr. Christopher Francis Patten.

"Caring Company" recognizes organizations which demonstrate good corporate citizenship through bearing the social responsibility and contributing to the society. Tao Heung Group was recognized as "Caring Company" by achieving in 3 criteria: Employee Friendly, Mentoring and Giving. Our group enthusiastic participated in various charitable public activities, for example, sponsored Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, Junior Chamber International Hong Kong and so on. Besides sponsored, staffs also participated Oxfam Trail Walker and HK Marathon and raised fund for charity by selling moon-cakes and so on.Despite of giving to the community, our staff also enjoyed meaningful holiday with their families.
"HKMATVB Awards for Marketing Excellence 2010" was presented by HKMA (The Hong Kong Management Association) and sponsored by TVB, which aims to appreciate the effort and excellent A&P performance of firms in marketing industry. The award presentation was hold on 8 Nov 2010 in JW Hotel. Idea of "One Dollar Chicken" of Tao Heung Group was awarded as "The HKMA/TVB Awards for Marketing Excellence-Merit", our group was sincerely thanks for the appreciation and support from industry and "One Dollar Chicken" is definitely a symbol represented Tao Heung Group from now on.
2010 Awards Presentation of GZ King of catering was grand hold on 7 Sept 2010. Due to the high potential market of banquet, Tao Heung Group make good use of our advantages, providing high quality catering services with elegant wedding venue, which successfully gained appreciation from public and awarded as "King of Banquet". In order to expand the wedding banquet market in mainland of China, our group specially launched a new store "Cheers Palace" in Luohu District, Shenzhen on 29 Sept 2010. It can fulfill the high demand of professional wedding service in mainland of China with ideal venue and service.
Representative of Tao Heung Group, Chef-Mr. Chan Siu Keung, was awarded 3 awards in Asian Cuisine Open Competition in celebration of the 16th Asian Games in 8 July 2010.
U Favorite Food Awards 2010 organized by U Magazine has completed. Through voting for favorite restaurants by 19,000 readers, Tao Heung Group"s "Pier 88" was awarded as the most favorite restaurant in Hotpot Category for 3 consecutive years. In addition, "Chao Inn" was also awarded as the most favorite restaurant in Cantonese Category for the 2nd time. The award presentation ceremony was held in Harbour Grand Hong Kong on 15th April, to reward the selected excellent restaurants from the readers and famous local food reviewers.
Tao Heung Group has won "The Most Potential Brand Award" in the Hong Kong Proud Brands Award 2009 which is jointly organized by Ming Pao and the Chinese University of Hong Kong Marketing MSc Program. The awards were selected and judged by the professional marketing specialists. Hong Kong Proud Brands aims at commending local brand"s effort and innovation in order to drive the local enterprises from setting up and managing a brand. Our Group dedicated to stay current with the society, "The Most Potential Brand Award" assure our brand among the public.
"2009 Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau Culinary Competition" organized by Eating Establishment Employees General Union was held on 1st – 2nd September. Participants were required to cook two cuisines, a designated eel dish and a creative dish within 90 minutes. It became a fierce competition of strength, experience, technique and creativity among chefs. Finally, our representative from Shanghai Inn (Tseung Kwan O branch) won the individual Gold award in Dim Sum team , and our representative from Tao Heung Super 88 (Aberdeen branch) won the individual Sliver award.
"Pak Fook Chefs Competition 2009" had been finished on 20th April in Chinese Cuisine Training Institute. The main theme of the competition was using the bean curd products as ingredients for designing appetizer, main course and dessert. The dishes were marked by the professional gourmets. Finally Shanghai Inn (Tseung Kwan O branch) of Tao Heung Group won the bronze prize under the Chinese restaurant category, regarding its outlook, smell, taste and nutrition with high valuation.
U Favorite Food Awards 2009 organized by U Magazine has completed. Through voting for favorite restaurants by 14,000 readers, Tao Heung Group"s Hak Ha Hut and Tao Heung Super 88 were awarded as the most favorite restaurant in Cantonese Category and Hotpot Category respectively. The award presentation ceremony was held in Hong Kong W Hotel on 20th March, to reward the selected excellent restaurants from the readers and famous local food reviewers.
Following the award from last year, Tao Heung Group is once again rewarded the prestigious "Sing Tao Excellent Services Brand Award 2008" - Chinese Cuisine category organized by Sing Tao Daily, representing the service quality of Tao Heung Group is recognized by the public. The award presentation ceremony took place on 26 February, 2009. Mr. Eric Leung, Chief Executive Officer of Tao Heung Group received the honour on behalf of the company.
Tao Heung Group was awarded as "Caring Company" by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service for three years consecutively. Tao Heung Group was nominated by Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth, and be recognized as "Caring Company" by achieving in 3 criteria: Employee Friendly, Mentoring and Giving. Our group enthusiastic participated in various charitable public activities, for example, sponsored a Beijing activity organized by Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth, "Race to Feed 2008" organized by Heifer International, raised fund for Sichuan earthquakes by selling rice-dumplings and etc. Despite of giving to the community, Tao Heung Group also organized Staff and Family Fun Day, so as our staff and their families enjoyed a weekend holiday.
The 10th Catering Industry Safety Award Scheme award presentation ceremony and carnival was held on 30th November in Tsuen Wan by Labour Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Council. The scheme aims to instill a good occupational safety and health culture in the catering industry, and to award catering establishments which have good records in work safety and health. Tao Heung Group won the Golden prize in "Group Safety Performance Awards", while Chung"s Cuisine (Kowloon Bay branch) and Tao Heung Super 88 (Heng Fa Chuen branch) won the golden prize and the bronze prize respectively from the 209 qualified Chinese Restaurants in catering establishment award (Chinese restaurant category). Furthermore, several staff members in our branches were nominated in either Supervisor Awards or Safe Worker Awards.
On 18 - 21 October 2008, Tao Heung Group sent 4 chefs to join the 6th World Championship of Chinese Cuisine in Beijing organized by World Association of Chinese Cuisine, China Cuisine Association and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It is regarded as an unprecedented grand meeting for catering industry. This contest attracted Chinese Cuisine chefs from all over the world including Canada, US, Holland, Germany, Spain, Philippines, Belgium, Vienna, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and China. Since participants were required to use secret ingredients from "black box" to create 2 dishes impromptu, it became a fierce competition of strength, experience and creativity. The 4 chefs representing Tao Heung Group, including 1 chef from Chung"s Cuisine (Kowloon Bay branch) and 2 chefs from Shanghai Inn (Tseung Kwan O branch) spent 3 months to design the dishes, select ingredients, research nutritional standard, cooking method and also exchange opinions mutually by commenting on others" trial. Finally, they won the first runner-up of team award among 16 countries and districts. Mr. Jack Mo, Senior Manager of Business Management even won the first runner-up of individual award. Thanks to this remarkable achievement, they became the top Chinese cuisine chefs for Hong Kong team in the Overseas Category.
Forbes Asia"s fourth month annual "Asia"s Best 200 Under A Billion List" was released in September 2008 which focuses on Asia-Pacific companies with under $1 billion in sales. All the company premium sales, profit and market value were taking into account in this election. Tao Heung Group was affirmed by being culled from 24,155 publicly listed outfits and entered into the best 200 companies.
"The 6th Grand Cuisine Awards 2008" organized by Metro financial was successfully held on 21st August 2008. Tao Heung (Tsing Yi Branch) and Chao Inn (Kwun Tong Branch) under Tao Heung Group were awarded "The Most Popular Award" in the Chicken team and Seafood team respectively. Furthermore, Tao Heung (Tsing Yi Branch) also won the Silver Award in the Chicken team. In "The 6th Grand Cuisine Awards 2008", cuisines were graded by the celebrities and gourmets in the first round and final competition. In addition, "The Most Popular Awards" were elected by the customers of the quality restaurants and the publics.
Ms. Caroline Li, the Deputy Director of Human Resources Department of Tao Heung Group was awarded "Outstanding Contributions to HR" in "The Hong Kong HR Awards 2008". The Hong Kong HR Awards are the leading event for recognizing and celebrating exceptional HR professionals and organizational practices. All winners were announced in the gala awards ceremony on 20 of June in Conrad Hotel. Her valuable experiences in human resources management made her recognized and valued for the award.
Tao Heung was awarded Hong Kong"s "Best Mid Cap Company" by Finance Asia in its "2008 Asia"s Best Companies Poll". The good news came along at just the right time as Tao Heung celebrates the first anniversary of its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In this year"s eighth annual Asia"s Best Companies Poll,167 investment professionals and financial analysts around the region ranked companies in 10 Asian countries on the basis of overall management, corporate governance, investor relations and commitment to strong dividend payout. Tao Heung came second in the "Best Mid Cap Company" category for the Hong Kong market.
"Tao Heung" Carnavon, Tsim Sha Tsui branch and "Hak Ka Hut" Miramar, Tsim Sha Tsui branch of Tao Heung Group won the "Chinese Cuisine Top 10" in "Hong Kong Must Eat Restaurant Award 2008" organized by Weekend Weekly Magazine. "Hong Kong Must Eat Restaurant Award 2008" is first established this year. Publics vote for their favorite restaurants under the eight categories through the website of Weekend Weekly Magazine. Under the voting from over 15,000 readers, "Tao Heung" and "Hak Ka Hut" was awarded as two of the Top 10 highest ranking restaurants in Chinese cuisine category which shows the popularity of branches of the Group.
Tao Heung Group"s "The Unconventional Chef" training program was awarded "Excellence in Practice Awards" by ASTD (American Society for Training & Development). Tao Heung Management team attended the Award Ceremony and ASTD 2008 International Conference & exposition in America on June 2008. The program provided a platform for the professionals to share their experiences in management and training. ASTD aims to recognize individuals and teams who advance the knowledge of the workplace learning and performance profession and contribute to workforce capability and organizational competitiveness. ASTD awards exhibited that "The Unconventional Chef" training program has reached the international standard, and its contribution to the substantial improvement on the service and product quality of Tao Heung Group is also widely recognized.
Chung"s Cuisine, Kowloon Bay branch, of Tao Heung Group has become the first Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong to be awarded the "ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems Certification" by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). The certification recognized the efforts of the Group in enhancing food and service quality and that Chung"s Cuisine boasts food safety, quality control, staff training and management matching international standards. The globally recognized ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems qualification is accepted by the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department. To qualify for certification, food suppliers must ensure food safety and hygiene during the entire food preparation process from tracking food sources and monitoring quality of ingredients. They are also required to provide food safety training to staff, which will help to minimize food safety risks. Proper documentation and record control, food safety principles, external and internal communication, contingency measures, management review, staff training, workflow, surveillance measures, traceability, internal auditing and continuous improvement plans, etc. are the areas covered in the accreditation. To meet ISO 22000 standards, the Group requires suppliers to submit safety certificates and identifiable food sources. Internal QC samples food materials and products for microbiological and chemical tests. Staff personal hygiene and environmental hygiene are verified in a scientific way. Tao Heung food safety team has also mapped out workflow for various food products and storage, temperature, cleaning and sterilization requirements for them, creating a food safety assurance system. Structure-wise, for Chung"s Cuisine, the Group applied the "source differentiation" concept separating processing and cooking of different foods in respective dedicated zones, which ensures one-direction workflow to prevent cross-contamination. The Group will step up efforts in improving food processing flows of our other branches, aiming to reach the ISO 22000 standard and to become the most esteemed Chinese restaurant group with its heart set on ensuring food safety.
"Tao Heung Super 88" of Tao Heung Group won the "Excellent Hotpot Restaurant" Award in the "Open Rice Excellent Dinning Award 2007" contest. "OpenRice" website was established in 1999, providing restaurant-searching services and act as a platform for the public to evaluate Hong Kong"s restaurant performance. Twenty restaurants scored the highest marks and were nominated to enter the contest. Finally, "Tao Heung Super 88" got the highest voted in the "Excellent Hotpot Restaurant Award".
"Tao Heung Super 88" and "Chao Inn" of Tao Heung Group was selected as the most favorite restaurant in Hotpot category and in Canton Cuisine Category respectively in "U Favorite Food Awards 2008" organized by U Magazine. Ms Stella Chan, Director of Marketing & Administration received the houour at the award presentation ceremony held in JW Marriott Hotel on 14 March, 2008.
Tao Heung Group was awarded as Excellent Services Brand 2007 in Chinese cuisine category organized by Sing Tao Daily. The award presentation ceremony took place on 13 March, 2008. Mr. Michael Cheng, Human Resource Director of Tao Heung Group, received the honour on behalf of the company. He has also shared his training and management experiences with other esteemed awarded representatives and the media. The awardees were selected by the readers of Sing Tao Daily who voted for their favorite brands from 25 categories with several criteria, including brand awareness, service quality, brand positioning, reputation and credibility, marketing communications, understanding of customer needs and customer services.
Tao Heung Group has won The 8th Capital Outstanding Enterprise Awards, which is awarded by CAPITAL Magazine for 3 consecutive years. The award presentation ceremony was conducted on 15 January, 2008. Ms. Veanna Tsang, Finance and Accounting Director of Tao Heung Group, had received the honour on behalf of the company.
"ARM Cooking Competition 2007" organized by Association of Restaurant Managers had completed on 15 November 2007. For the final competition, competitors were required to use secret ingredients to create 2 dishes from the "black box". Cheers Restaurant in Tai Po, Hak Ka Hut in Causeway Bay and Chung"s Cuisine in Kowloon Bay of Tao Heung Group have won the award of the outstanding prize and Hak Ka Hut in Causeway Bay also won the silver award in the final competition.
Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (HKCOSH) has organized the "Smoke Free Restaurant Favourite Culinary Award" jointly with TVB Weekly since December 2006 which was completed successfully. The Award has received great support from the catering establishments and the public in Hong Kong. Hak Ka Hut in Lee Theatre Plaza and Chung"s Cuisine in Times Square of our group were shortlisted from the preliminary selection, and were voted for 12 favourite restaurants by the public. Consequently, our two branches have won the champion of Chinese cuisine category and the outstanding prize of local special category respectively in the final competition on 15 March 2007.
The "4th Hong Kong & Macau Trustworthy Merchants Award" organized by Guangzhou Daily has been finished successfully. Organized by the Human Resources Development Management Committee of The Hong Kong Management Association, the results of the Individual Awards and Campaign Awards of the "Award for Excellence in Training 2007" were announced on 12 June 2007. The "Award for excellence in Training" was introduced by The Hong Kong Management Association in 1990 with the aim of giving public recognition to trainers and companies for the contribution that training can make to corporate results. After the comprehensive judging process of the Award, Tao Heung Group won the top prize of the HKMA Annual Training Award with "The Unconventional Chef", including Gold Prize of Campaign Awards, Recruit Most Innovative Awards and our representative Mr. Leung Man Cheuk also won MidlandU Best Presentation Award.
The Caring Company Scheme has launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service since 2002, providing a bridging function between the business and the social service sectors to foster effective and mutually beneficial partnership relationships. The Caring Company Logo of the scheme recognizes companies which demonstrate good corporate citizenship. This logo is awarded to companies which have satisfied two out the six criteria, which including volunteering, family friendly, employing vulnerable, partnering, mentoring and giving. Tao Heung is awarded as Caring Company 2006/07 with the achieved criteria of family friendly and giving. The recognition ceremony was conducted on 08 February, 2007. Mr. Eric Leung, Executive Director of Tao Heung, had received the plaque on behalf of the company.
CAPITAL Magazine announced that Tao Heung Holding Limited has won The 7th Capital Outstanding Enterprise Awards. The award presentation ceremony was conducted on 22 January, 2007. Mr. Eric Leung, Executive Director of Tao Heung, had received the honour on behalf of the company.
Being one of the top entries in the "Hong Kong Top Service Brand Awards" held by The Chinese Manufacturer's Association of Hong Kong, Tao Heung was honorably awarded "Hong Kong Top Service Brand". The award proved that our team efforts are highly recognized during the past 16 years. The "Hong Kong Top Brands Awards" is organized by The Chinese Manufacturer's Association of Hong Kong since 1999, while "Top Service Brands" is a new category this year to reward distinguished local brands, encourage them for better achievements and enhance their popularity as well as recognition among local and overseas consumers and traders. The award is based on 6 criteria: popularity in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas, business uniqueness, creativity, quality, image and environment protection. Apart from Tao Heung, other winners include Centaline, China Travel Service, Yung Kee Restaurant, Bank of East Asia, California Red, GP, Hong Thai Travel Services, Sasa and Eu Yan Sang.
Capital, a leading financial and business magazine in Hong Kong, has announced the winners of the Fifth Outstanding Enterprise Awards. The award in Food and Beverage Industry goes to Tao Heung Holding Limited. The assessment is based on an "Internet Voting" opened to the public and a judge panel comprising local leaders in business, industry and education sectors. Other winners included PCCW, Citibank, HSBC, Yu Yan Sang, Netvigator, Hong Yip Properties and other outstanding corporations.
In September 2005, Tao Heung was acknowledged to be the "Superbrands" by The Superbrands Organization.
"Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year 2005" was presented to our CEO Mr. Chung Wai Ping by Junior Chamber International Hong Kong. The award is specially presented to the young enterpriser who success with creativity.
In September 2005, the Tao Heung Logistics Center was certified ISO9001-2000 by SGS.
In May 2005, the China Hotel Management Association presented the award, "Pearl River Delta Catering Business Top Ten Characters" to our CEO Mr. Chung Wai Ping and "Pearl River Delta Top Ten Outstanding Chef" to our Executive Chef Mr. Lin Wei Bin.
Due to the principle of "3 Exclusions": monosodium glutamate, artificial coloring and smoking area are excluded in Chung"s Cuisine. Chung"s Cuisine was awarded an "Indoor Air Quality Certification Scheme for Offices and Public Places" Good Class from Environmental Protection Department in April 2005.
In Jan 2005, Chao Inn (Causeway Bay branch) was awarded a Bronze medal in Chinese Restaurant Category in the "Catering Industry Safety Award Scheme 2004/2005", organized by Labour Department.

In November 2004, the Group participated in the 5th World Championship of Chinese Cuisines, along with professionals from 18 countries and districts. Our participants returned with encouraging results, including a bronze prize in Team Award; 1 gold, 1 sliver, 3 bronze and 1 distinguished prizes in Individual Award

In May 2003, Tao Heung received four Customer Relationship Excellence Awards given by Asia Pacific Customer Service Consortium: CEO of the Year – Mr. Chung Wai Ping; Corporate Service Team of the Year; Customer Satisfaction Quality System of the Year and People Development Program of the Year.
In June 2002, Tao Heung became the first group of Chinese restaurants in the world to attain the "5-S"Practise Certification. The group has successfully implemented the 5S management concept, strengthening communication between staff, establishing teamwork, increasing efficiency, and providing the best services to its customers.
