‘Tao Heung Museum of Food Culture’ was established by Tao Heung Group to promote public interest in food culture through collecting, conserving, and displaying cultural objects and heritage demonstrating food culture around the world. Collections include various cooking utensils, containers, seasonings, tea, etc. Guided tour is offered to enhance visitors’ interest and understanding of the characteristics of various exhibits and global food culture.
Tao Heung Museum of Food Culture in Fo Tan held its exhibition grand opening in July 2008. It occupies 5,000 square feet and is mainly divided into five exhibition zones, namely “Rice Zone”, “Tableware Zone”, “Seasoning Zone”, “Nature Zone” and “Fun-World Zone”. Some exhibits feature the contrast between Eastern and Western food culture and wedding banquet. The invaluable tableware used in Manchu Han Imperial Feast in 1977, simulated ‘Dai Pai Dong’ and traditional Chinese-style restaurants are also displayed for the reminiscence for the good old days.
Furthermore, the history and corporate culture of Tao Heung Group is introduced to visitors with the utilization of multi-media.
